The City of Refuge
"You Have A Right to Be Free!"
Vision

The City of Refuge Christian Church of Virginia is established:

To provide a place where hurting, depressed, frustrated, and confused people can find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, and encouragement.

To share the Good News of Jesus Christ to the eighty percent of the Hampton Roads population who are not saved and/or not joined to a local church.

To welcome 10,000 members into the fellowship of our church family. Loving, learning, sharing, rejoicing, and living together in unity. We will accomplish this through a network of local churches throughout Hampton Roads.

To develop people to spiritual maturity through the Bible Studies, small groups, seminars, retreats, and a Bible School.

To equip every believer for a significant ministry by helping them discover the gifts and talents God has given them.

To send missionaries and church workers throughout our state, nation, and the world for the purpose of evangelism, church planting, and the establishment of educational campuses.

To acquire a minimum of 20 acres of land, on which we will build The City of Refuge Christian Church of Virginia regional complex- with beautiful, simple, facilities, including a worship hall seating more than 1,000 people a counseling and prayer center, classrooms for Bible Studies, a campus training for babies, toddlers, pre-school, elementary, high school, undergraduate, graduate, and post graduate curriculums, media center for television, radio, literature and indoor/outdoor recreational facilities. All of this will be designed to minister to the total person - spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially - set in a peaceful landscape.

We are confident this vision will become a reality, because it's God's Inspiration!

Four steps to achievement: Plan purposefully, prepare prayerfully, proceed positively, pursue persistently.

William Arthur Ward (1812–1882)
Verse of the Day
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live accordance with the spirit have their minds set on what the spirit desires.
