"You Have A Right to Be Free!"
Who is a Christian?

A Christian is one in whom Christ dwells, as the Bible says, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Col 1:27).

A Christian is a new creation: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away: behold all things are become new.” (2 Cor 5:17).

A Christian is one who has had a miraculous experience of the New Birth, so that he has passed from the realm of death into the realm of life (eternal life). “Ye must be born again.” (John 3:7).

A Christian is one who has the witness of the Spirit in his heart that he is a child of God: “The Spirit beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the sons of God.? (Rom 8:16).

A Christian is one who, by his daily life, reveals that he has a new nature, a new disposition, and a new objective in life. His supreme desire is to honor and glorify Christ by his conduct and testimony.

To become a Christian, we must realize “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God; (Rom 3:23).” Two conditions of salvation exist: “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God have raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Rom 10:9). Our belief is confirmed in John 1:12 , “But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

When we accept Christ, and repent of our sins, the Spirit of God through the Word of God performs the miracle that makes us the children of God. We then rest in the word of our Lord: “Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37), and we meet the second condition of salvation , which is to “confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus” That is we declare our faith in Him. For the Word of God says: “With the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Rom 10:10).

My Decision and Personal Prayer!

Recognizing that I am a sinner, (Luke 18:13b), I have come before God to acknowledge this fact, after repenting of my sins, I here and now receive the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior (John 1:12) and know that I am saved because God’s Word says so.  “If you openly admit by  your own mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord, and if you believe in your own heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is believing in the heart that makes a man righteous before God, and it is stating his belief by his own mouth that confirms his salvation.”  (Rom 10:9, 10 J. B. Phillips translation).

1) I have acknowledged and repented of my sins.

2) I do believe in my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died on the cross and shed his blood as an offering for my sin.

3) I have confessed with my mouth, Jesus as Lord, and received Him as my personal Savior.

4) I will by Gods’ grace forsake all my sinful and worldly ways!

(Eph 4:22; 2 Cor 5:17; Isa 55:7; Rom 12:1, 2)

5) Therefore, on the authority of God’s Word, I know that I am saved!  I choose to believe God’s Word and not rely on my feelings, because His Word will never fail me.

(Eph 2:8,9).

Quote of the Day

Four steps to achievement: Plan purposefully, prepare prayerfully, proceed positively, pursue persistently.

William Arthur Ward (1812–1882)
Verse of the Day
Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live accordance with the spirit have their minds set on what the spirit desires.
Rom. 8:5
